Dr. Kenneth Yim is a Stanford trained plastic surgeon with more than 20 years of clinical experience in California. After graduating from University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Molecular Biology, Dr. Yim then earned his Medical Doctor Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1986. He proceeded to complete both his General Surgery and Plastic Surgery residency training from Stanford University Medical Center in 1995. During his training at Stanford University, Dr. Yim completed advanced fellowship training in Microsurgery with Dr. Harry Buncke, the father of Microsurgery, in San Francisco and Prof. Fu Chan Wei at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan.
From 1995 to 2016, Dr. Yim practiced in a Stanford University Medical School affiliated hospital and served as the Director of the Burn Center and Chief of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Yim has lectured and published extensively in the US and internationally. His clinical and surgical experiences include all aspect of Plastic Surgery; birth defects, burn, traumatic and postsurgical reconstruction, hand surgery as well as aesthetic surgery – facelift, tummy tuck, breast implant, eyelid surgery, liposuction, laser skin rejuvenation and pigment removal, Botox, fillers injection etc. Dr. Yim brings his high US Plastic Surgery practice standard to NuVida. All aesthetic treatments and products are carefully chosen and designed by Dr. Yim with safety and results in mind. He also leads the team in continuing education and advanced procedure trainings.
His dedications to giving back to the society have taken him to Mexico and Xinjiang, China, where he performed free reconstructive surgeries for children with birth defects and traumatic deformities.
